Kate Middleton and Prince William have written a sweet message to six year old Mila Sneddon who recently headed back to school. Mila has spent the duration of her early education undergoing cancer treatment, but this year will be the first school year she won’t be needing to as she was amazingly given the all clear earlier this year. The young girl won over the Duchess of Cambridge’s heart over lockdown after a photograph of her undergoing treatment for leukaemia went viral. In the photo, the youngster could be seen kissing one side of a window as her father stood outside on the other.
Mila was isolating during the pandemic due to being vulnerable. Mila went on to meet mum-of-three Kate for the first time last year for tea at Holyroodhouse in May 2021, where Kate fulfilled her promise to the youngster to wear pink. Now, as Mila returns to school for her first cancer-free year of education, Kate and William have sent their well wishes to her.
Mila’s mum Lynda shared a photo of the six year old proudly showcasing her school uniform on Twitter. She wrote alongside it: “First day back at school [heart emoji] Very proud ! This is Milas first school year not undergoing treatment. Love you Mila”.
“Thank you @NHSGGC for making this possible”, she added. The Cambridges replied to the sweet photo: “Such an incredible journey. Good luck from all of us at Kensington Palace, Mila”, followed by a heart emoji.
