'Willy Wonka Gate' has taken over the internet this week following the disastrous immersive experience held in Glasgow.
On Saturday, February 24, police were called to a 'Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience', after furious families turned up to an almost empty warehouse.
Parents were left furious after forking out £35 for the experience - which left kids in tears.
Hundreds of families had paid to attend the weekend-long Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience, organised by events company House of Illuminati.
Organisers pulled the plug halfway through the first day after being met with a furious reaction and have since been ridiculed online, with many dubbing the scandal 'Willy-Wonka Gate'.
Now, Scots actress Karen Gillan has joined in on poking fun at the event - where children were offered one single jelly bean instead of - as previously promised - chocolate.
Taking to social media, the Nebula star responded to a short clip of the disaster, which read: "New details on the Willy Wonka Experience disaster
"Script was '15 pages of AI-generated gibberish'
"Made up a villain called The Unknown — 'an evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls'
"Event had no chocolate — kids were given a single jelly bean & a cup of lemonade"
The 36-year-old quipped: "PLEASE CAST ME IN THIS.
"(like a movie based on this story, not the actual thing. Actually, no, either is fine)"
It comes as actor and comedian Paul Connell revealed in a series of TikTok videos that he was hired to portray Willy Wonka at the event and felt for anyone who bought tickets.
He claimed he was given a 15-page monologue script of “AI-generated gibberish” and told to give children one jelly bean and a quarter cup of supermarket-brand lemonade.
