TVXQ is back!
The legendary K-pop duo returned with their ninth full-length studio album, 20&2, released on Tuesday (December 26).
The album’s release marks 20 years since their debut, featuring 10 tracks across different genres, including the explosive, dance-heavy title track “Rebel.”
Keep reading to find out more…This is TVXQ!’s first regular release in five years and features solo tracks from members U-KNOW and MAX CHANGMIN, along with lyrical input from MAX CHANGMIN. It also sees the duo reteaming with producer KENZIE, who has produced several hits for TVXQ! across their career.
The album also includes songs like “Down,” “Rodeo” and “Jungle,” as well as “Life’s A Dance.” U-KNOW’s solo track “Fix It” features a verse from Korean rapper DINDIN, while MAX CHANGMIN’s solo track “Take My Breath Away” provides strength for the tired and lonely.
“Promise” was penned by MAX CHANGMIN for the fans, expressing his appreciation for those who have been by his side throughout TVXQ!’s journey. There’s also an unplugged version of 2004′s “The Way U Are,” in celebration of their 20th anniversary, and “Starlight,” a ballad filled with gratitude for the memories they’ve made with their fans.
Their last studio release New Chapter #2 : The Truth of Love was released five years ago, marking their 15th anniversary in December of 2018.
Following the release of 20&2 – which stands for 20 years & 2 members – U-KNOW and MAX CHANGMIN will embark on an accompanying tour that kicks off in Seoul, South Korea at the end of December.

SISTAR19 have made their long-awaited return with a music video for ‘No More (Ma Boy)’.‘No More (Ma Boy)’ comes 11 years after SISTAR19’s last project, their 2013 mini-album ‘Gone Not Around Any Longer’. The new release features two songs, title track ‘No More (Ma Boy)’ and B-side ‘Saucy’, both co-written by Hyolyn.“With this new album, we wanted to show how much we have changed,” Hyolyn told The Korea Herald.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief KCON, the Korean pop music and culture convention operated by CJ ENM, will hold five editions in 2024, organizers said on Thursday. The first of the year will be Hong Kong, a new destination for the convention series, before moving on to KCON Japan in May 10-12 and KCON LA July 26-28. Other editions will be held in Saudi Arabia and Europe at unspecified dates in the second half of the year. The Hong Kong edition will be held at March 30-31 at the AsiaWorld Expo, a 10,000 seater venue adjacent to the airport.

K-pop girl group aespa made a recent appearance on an episode of Anderson .Paak’s Apple Music series, .Paak’s House.In a new promotional clip released by Apple Music, the girl group were tasked by Paak’s son, Soul, with putting together a drum set. “I’ll give you five minutes,” he instructed in Korean, as the members commented that it was too short a time.After struggling for some time, the .Paak joined them in the studio.
IVE have announced their upcoming new single ‘All Night’, a collaboration with American rapper Saweetie.Today (January 9), IVE dropped the first teaser for ‘All Night’, their upcoming collaboration with Saweetie. Thania Garcia Blackpink — the four-piece K-pop act comprised of Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie and Rose – are no longer working with YG Entertainment for their solo endeavors, the company announced in a press release on Friday. The group will remain signed to YG Entertainment as an entity but the four women will pursue their solo careers outside of the agency.

BLACKPINK have not renewed their individual contracts with YG Entertainment.Today (December 29), YG Entertainment announced in a statement to South Korean news outlet Xsportsnews that the four members of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK – Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa – would not be renewing their individual contracts with the agency.“We have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities,” YG Entertainment said, as translated by Soompi. “We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts.”The news comes just days after Jennie launched her own label, Odd Atelier (OA).
