Aidan’s ‘And Just Like That’ Return Has Given The Show New Life

Daniel D'Addario Chief TV Critic SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers from “A Hundred Years Ago,” the eighth episode of Season 2 of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max. I was as skeptical as anyone when it became clear that Aidan was returning to “And Just Like That.” The “Sex and the City” character, Carrie’s other great love and one who, in his status as an obvious second choice to Big, wasn’t really so great, seemed to have run out of dramatic possibility a while ago. His appearance in “Sex and the City 2,” with a credibility-straining chance meeting in Abu Dhabi, seemed only to be happening to cast into relief what worked, and what didn’t, in Carrie’s marriage.

‘Star Wars’: Timothy Olyphant Won’t Say If He’ll Be In Dave Filoni’s Movie But Is Game To Return As Cobb Vanth

There are still a lot of questions surrounding the future of “Star Wars” on the big screen. Even though Lucasfilm announced a trio of new films earlier this year, it’s difficult to imagine a world where they all get made, especially given how the studio has developed and canceled films before production quite a lot.

‘Justified’ sequel series: An unnecessary return to the neo-noir Western crime drama

Hulu, there’s plenty for fans of the original show to dig into. But if you missed the first incarnation of “Justified,” “City Primeval” stands on its own without much confusion, since it’s an isolated story set outside of Kentucky with no obscure side characters or plotlines from the original series. The series begins with Raylan driving across Florida to bring his teen daughter Willa (Vivian Olyphant, Timothy’s real-life daughter) to a disciplinary summer camp. His journey is immediately waylaid by two wannabe criminals, leading him to testify about what happened at a hearing in Detroit. There, Judge Guy (Keith David) and lawyer Carolyn Wilder (Aunjanue Ellis) are unimpressed by Raylan’s attitude (and his tactics, which includes rough treatment of the thugs). Nevertheless, Judge Guy ropes Raylan into sticking around Detroit for longer than planned, to work with the Detroit PD on a task force that’s investigating a recent murder attempt against the judge.

Star Wars: Is John Boyega Open To Returning?

In a recent interview, John Boyega, most recently known for his role as Finn in the Star Wars movies, opened up about a possible return. His recent words about the franchise come years after he spoke out about how Disney treats black characters in their projects. Boyega accused Disney of using diverse casting to bring in viewers and then pushing those characters to the side after they have made their quick buck. “That was a few years ago, so they were the subject of that particular project,” Boyega recently told TechRadar, in an interview that was conducted before the actors strike.

‘Justified’ Makes a Welcome Return With ‘City Primeval,’ but Needs a Better Baddie: TV Review

Stephen Rodrick U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) had a time-honored tradition during the six seasons of the original  “Justified.” The rakish law man would chase a baddie across Kentucky back roads and trailer parks. Bullets flew, and moonshine was consumed. Still, Givens always made time for a philosophical and deep conversation with his prey before the final showdown. Raylan would learn something humanizing about his nemesis’ motivation and, inevitably, realize he himself could be a dick on occasion. These talks often featured Boyd Crowder, Givens’ frenemy played by Walton Goggins with a mouthful of Biden-white teeth, a shock of black hair and buckets of country wisdom. They were so humanizing that you often forgot Boyd was a white supremacist turned drug dealer.
