Just Stop Oil protestors stormed the set of Channel 4 show The Last Leg tonight. The chat show hosted by comics Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker was being broadcast live when the protesters appeared on screen just seconds into the programme, handing the hosts orange hi-vis vets.
Lead presenter Hills cheered as they made their entrance and said: "This is not part of the show." One of the stage invaders introduced himself as William and Hills gave him a hug before security intervened and removed them.
The presenters took it in their stride and saw the funny side with Brooker pretending to carry Widdicombe off stage and Widdicombe saying: "I'm not going to lie to you I s**t myself.

For all the great music she left behind, most of the public knows Sinead O’Connor for one moment: tearing up a photo of Pope John Paul II on “Saturday Night Live” in 1992, a move that was intended as a blunt statement on abuse in the Catholic church. Not surprisingly, the move torpedoed her career and made her the object of vicious responses from the public and many celebrities — she was booed when she walked onstage at a Bob Dylan tribute concert just days after the incident — and the pillorying continued for many years, with the reaction to her statement changing only as the church’s countless, widespread abuses have become horrifyingly clear.
