Jurors have retired to consider their verdicts in the Thomas Campbell murder trial. Mr Campbell, 38, was 'tortured to death' in his own home after being subjected to a two hour ordeal, during which he suffered 61 separate injuries, the jury has heard.
Three people, including his ex-wife Coleen Campbell, are accused of murder. Beautician Ms Campbell, 38, Stephen Cleworth, also 38, and Reece Steven, 29, have all pleaded not guilty.
The trial at Bolton Crown Court has heard that his home in Mossley, Tameside, was 'ransacked' during the attack late on Saturday, July 2 last year. The trio also deny conspiring to rob Mr Campbell. On Friday, the 23rd day of the trial, the jury was sent out to deliberate.

John Belfield, 28, is said to have been the 'mastermind' of the attack on Mr Campbell. He is not on trial, and is believed to have fled the country.
Mr Belfield, an alleged drug dealer said to be 'heavily concerned in the large-scale supply of class A drugs', is alleged to have been motivated by 'hostility' towards Mr Campbell.
Mr Campbell was in a relationship with Mr Belfield's ex-girlfriend at the time of his death. Prosecutors allege he wanted to rob Mr Campbell, also said to be a drug dealer who played an 'integral part' in an organised crime group, of drugs, cash or valuables.
Ms Campbell, who had two children with her former husband of 10 years, is alleged to have provided information about her ex's movements to Mr Belfield. The pair had been 'apparent strangers' until a week before the killing.
