A mum has spoken of the moment she found her dying son after her ex-partner allegedly stabbed him.
Kataryzna Bastek had previously been in a relationship with Suleman Altaf. After it had broken down in 2015, he allegedly went to her home in Miles Platting in June last year and attacked her with a knife.
During the alleged attack, she shouted to her son, Jakub Szymanski, for help.

Mr Altaf, 45, is standing trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of the murder of Jakub, the attempted murder of his mum, Ms Bastek, and possession of a knife. He denies all three offences.
The jury was previously told that Jakub came to his mother's 'aid', but was stabbed in the neck by Mr Altaf at the family home on Bednal Avenue.
On the second day of the trial, jurors were shown two video interviews that the police conducted with Ms Bastek in the weeks after the alleged attack.
In the first interview, Ms Bastek was speaking from her hospital bed, with the help of a Polish interpreter.
She said of the moment she was allegedly attacked by Mr Altaf, that she remembered standing up and shouting her son by his nickname ‘Kuba’. “I remember I was stood up and shouted: “Kuba, please help me,” she said.
Ms Bastek told officers she remembered seeing Mr Altaf with a knife and was shouting at him to leave. After he had allegedly attacked Jakub, she said he was ‘smiling’ before he said: “I can leave you now”, before he left the house.
In a further video interview with police at a police station in Bury, she said that Altaf initially had his back to the wall when she first spotted him in her house.
