‘Jurassic World Primal Ops’ is essentially dinosaur ‘Pokémon’ on the go

Jurassic World: Dominion has been released, which sees original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern reprising their roles.In the footage, which you can see via Complex, Neill’s Dr. Alan Grant and Dern’s Dr. Ellie Sattler are in a helicopter flying above territory controlled by the corporation Biosyn, and observe a huge dreadnoughtus dinosaur.The new film sees both actors returning to the franchise for the first time since 2001’s Jurassic Park III.

Universal/Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World Dominion stormed into Mexico on Wednesday with $3M worth of previews. That’s the best opening preview performance in the rebooted franchise, overtaking 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom by 53% and 2015’s Jurassic World by 81%. Both of the earlier films had sneaks on a holiday.

Universal’s Jurassic World: Dominion began early offshore rollout today and is off to a stomping good start in Korea with $6M. This is the fourth biggest opening day of all time in the market — topped only by Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Avengers: Endgame, and local title Along With The Gods 2 — and is the highest opening day of the pandemic there. The release pattern on JW:D differs from that of Fallen Kingdom which debuted in 48 overseas markets in 2018, but is similarly also before domestic which this time around goes June 10.

While we’ve already hit some massive blockbuster tent poles for the summer season with superhero releases such as “Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness” and the Memorial Day showstopper “Top Gun: Maverick,” summer starts to hit its stride with June’s lineup of eclectic releases. Right off the bat, we’ve got heavy hitters such as the latest from Andrew Ahn and the buzzed-about David Cronenberg film, “Crimes of the Future” which just premiered at Cannes.
