‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ is the “best yet”, says Sam Neill

Following an outbreak of COVID-19 on the island of Malta, shooting on “Jurassic World: Dominion” has been put on hold.

“Jurassic World: Dominion,” the forthcoming sequel in the billion-dollar film franchise, is one of the first blockbusters to go back into production after being shut down for several months due to COVID-19. However, being the first also means the production will be under added scrutiny from the public, as Universal and the cast and crew implement new safety procedures to prevent the virus from infecting anyone.

Naman Ramachandran Universal has decided to change the scope of its planned “Jurassic World: Dominion” Malta shooting schedule from a first unit crew to a second unit one, following an outbreak of coronavirus across the nation’s islands.The $200 million movie, based at Pinewood Studios near London, started shooting on Feb. 24, but production was shutdown two weeks later when the pandemic spread around the world.
