The Post has reached out to Manville and Dench for comment. Manville is slated to appear as Princess Margret in the upcoming season of “The Crown” which will be released onto Netflix November 9, 2022.

She added that “wounding suggestions apparently contained in the new series” would prove “damaging” to the monarchy and could not go unchallenged.
