NEW YORK -- Joshua Cohen's “The Netanyahus,” a comic and rigorous campus novel based on the true story of the father of former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeking a job in academia, has won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.Benzion Netanyahu, who died in 2012, was a medieval historian and ultra-nationalist who taught at several American schools, including the University of Denver and Cornell University. “The Netanyahus” is set around 1959-60 and centers on a Jewish historian at a university loosely based on Cornell who is asked to help decide whether to hire the visiting Israeli scholar.

Elizabeth Banks' movie 'Cocaine Bear' will be released in 2023. The 48-year-old star's upcoming thriller - inspired by the true story of a drug runner's plane crash in 1985 which led to a black bear eating a bag full of cocaine - is set to hit the big screen with a cast featuring the likes of Keri Russell and Margo Martindale. Universal has confirmed the film - also starring Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O'Shea Jackson Jr.

HBO’s Original two-part documentary “George Carlin’s American Dream” will debut later this month.Directed by Judd Apatow (“The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling”) and Michael Bonfiglio (“May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers”), the doc will air on HBO on back-to-back nights, with Part 1 premiering on Friday, May 20 at 8:00-9:55 p.m. ET/PT, followed by on Saturday, May 21, at the same time.Both episodes will be available to stream on HBO Max beginning Friday, May 20.
