Tammy Abraham has been told he can return to England if he wishes, amid Manchester United links after a very successful first year at Roma under Jose Mourinho.
The attacker has netted 24 goals so far, etching his name into the history books with a brace over rivals Lazio to become the club’s highest-scoring season debutant. The England international received a call-up from Gareth Southgate in October and is now preparing to play in the Europa Conference League final later this month.
The former Chelsea striker, who moved from Stamford Bridge for £34m, leads the way as the highest-scoring Englishmen across Europe's top five leagues this term. He has been linked with a move back to his homeland, with Erik ten Hag rumoured to be in the market for the 24-year-old.

Ex-United manager Mourinho has told Sky Sports that his player just needs to “click his fingers” and he could orchestrate a move back to the Premier League. He has given him his blessing should he want to leave, although highlighted how much he is adored by Roma supporters.
The 59-year-old said: “He (Abraham) knows how happy I am. He knows how much I love the kid and the player and I'm proud of what we are doing and I'm so happy for Tammy.
“I don't think it's an easy decision for a young player to leave his club, his house, his city, his country and to leave the Premier League which is of course a competition that when a player is in its hard to leave. He took that option and I think he took it because he trusted me.
“I don't think he wants to - but if he wants to go back to England he just needs to click his fingers and I'm so happy for him. He's back in the national team and is loved in Rome.”
