Jonnie Irwin has shared one of the sweet ways his wife helps him everyday, amid his battle with terminal cancer.
The A Place in the Sun presenter, 49, shared a video on Instagram where he discussed his morning routine, and how this helps him stay healthy amid his continued cancer treatment. "Every morning I get up and my wife kindly blends me a veggie smoothie, which is normally broccoli, cauliflower, any greenery she finds in the fridge, and then maybe half an avocado, maybe a bit of banana, and a pineapple sometimes to make it sweeter. "And then I know that at least then I've had my ten a day, but I've also started the day well." He revealed that he then followed this with some turmeric.
In the video's caption, Jonnie explained that he's been taking turmeric shots for a couple of years now, in lieu of starting the day with some coffee. Jonnie and his wife Jessica, 40, recently marked their seventh wedding anniversary, with Jonnie sharing a sweet photo of the pair dining out for the special occasion. Captioning the photo, the TV presenter wrote: "7 years married to this Angel.
I use this term because the love she shows to others is beyond comparison. "Last night was just us; chatting, planning and gossiping. So good.
Amazing food and staff at @lovagejesmond made our evening perfect. #anniversary" The couple share three sons - Rex, four, and three year old twins, Rafa and Cormac. And Jonnie recently shared a sweet video as the family enjoyed a movie night at home.
The video saw the three brothers run back and forth with their dad, a musical retelling of classic children's tale The Gingerbread Man, featuring musicians from the BBC Philharmonic and narrated by Nihal Arthanayake, played on CBeebies in the background.
