Jonathan Van Ness Calls Accusations of Abusive Behavior On ‘Queer Eye’ ‘Overwhelmingly Untrue’

Jack Dunn “Queer Eye” hairstylist Jonathan Van Ness has responded to Rolling Stone’s reports of his alleged abusive behavior on the set of the Netflix reality series. In the March exposé, seven “Queer Eye” production sources claimed Van Ness was “emotionally abusive” on set, going as far as to call them a “monster” and a “nightmare.” One source called their outbursts “intense and scary” describing their behavior as “almost like a cartoon where it oozes out of them.” Another crew member added Van Ness would lash out “at least once a day,” picking one member of the production to “point out and blame and make the villain of the day.” After months of silence after the allegations, Van Ness has responded via an interview on the “Table Manners” podcast in which the “Queer Eye” cast member said the story “isn’t really based in reality.” “Even though I do believe that that article was overwhelmingly untrue and done in bad faith,” Van Ness said.

'Hundreds' of West Lothian people relying on food banks each day

Hundreds of people a day rely on the West Lothian Food Network for meals, operators have said. In the first three months of the last financial year almost 4,000 used the support service. That quarterly figure is more than more than the numbers relying on help pre-pandemic, which prompted the launch of the Network. Now, as it prepares to establish itself as an independent charity, it is facing ever growing demands from local people struggling with the cost of living crisis. In the last year it helped more than 73,000 people in the county with food support - more than 6000 a month and around 200 every day on average. The Network was set up only a month before the lockdown in 2020 to address a huge problem of food poverty in the county.

From ‘Ripley’ in Italy to ‘True Detective’ in Iceland, How Locations Were Key For Top Emmy Contenders

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large I think I can say this on behalf of the entire collective of reporters who cover television: Nothing makes us groan more than when a series star or producer refers to the setting as another “character” in their show. (Actually, I take that back, something else causes even heavier eye rolls: When a performer says their co-stars are “like a family.”) And yet, I may have to temper my cynicism.

William and Kate's youngest child has made no secret of his love of military planes and helicopters, so he is sure to be feeling excited about the key event in the royal calendar on Saturday, 15 June.Trooping the Colour involves 1,400 marching soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians in a spectacle that draws huge crowds to Buckingham Palace, but it seems six-year-old Louis' gaze will be firmly fixed on the sky if previous appearances are anything to go by.

Theater Owners Chief on Box Office Downturn, Alamo Drafthouse Sale and Bringing Audiences Back to the Movies: ‘We’re Still Looking for a Catalyst’

Brent Lang Executive Editor It’s been a tough time for the movie business. That’s bad news for cinemas, which are struggling to dig out from the financial hole left by COVID shutdowns and laboring to get audiences to visit the multiplexes at the numbers they were before the pandemic.
