Jon Batiste is currently battling COVID-19.
On Thursday (May 5), the 35-year-old Grammy winner announced that he and his team have tested positive for the virus, and would therefore will be postponing his upcoming American Symphony performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

“Jon Batiste must regretfully postpone this concert, as he and members of his team have tested positive for COVID-19. The world premiere of his American Symphony will be rescheduled,” Carnegie Hall announced on their website.
“I thank all my supporters for their love and understanding,” Jon added in the statement. “See you all soon!”
Jon was originally supposed to take the stage at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, May 7. As of right now, a rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
Jon and his team’s positive test results come just several days after he attended the 2022 Met Gala.

Eric Clapton has been forced to postpone two of his upcoming shows after testing positive for COVID-19.The guitarist kicked off his latest UK and European tour earlier this month with a pair of shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London.However, Clapton has now announced that he is rescheduling his planned dates in Zurich, Switzerland and Milan, Italy, which had been set to take place tonight (May 17) and tomorrow (May 18), after he contracted COVID following the second Albert Hall gig.“Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from COVID having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” a statement on Clapton’s website reads.
