(CNN)Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, best known, perhaps, for their performances as a swashbuckler and a sea warrior, respectively, currently find themselves starring in a contentious defamation trial in Virginia. Depp is suing Heard, his ex-wife, for $50 million as he alleges that she defamed him with a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she wrote about her experience with domestic violence.Depp was not referred to by name in Heard's piece, but he has said it's cost him work.In testimony this week, Depp was asked by his attorney about some of the film franchises he has starred in beyond his work as Capt. Johnny Depp‘s personal text messages to his former doctor, Dr. David Kipper, were revealed in court today.
If you don’t know, Johnny Depp’s defamation trial has been underway for several days and he and his ex wife Amber Heard have both been present for the proceedings.

On March 7, 2015, Johnny sent the following text to his doctor (via DailyMail), “Hi f*ck man had another one. I cannot live like this. She is as full of s**t as a Christmas Goose. I’m done. NO MORE!!!! Constant insults released from a malicious evil and vindictive c*nt!!!!! You know what’s far more hurtful than her venomous and degrading educational ranting??? Her hideously and purposely hurtful tirades and her goddamn shocking treatment of the man she was meant to love above all.”
He continued, “Here’s the real deal mate…her obsession with herself is far more important. She is so f**king ambitious!!!! She’s so desperate for success and fame. That’s probably why I was acquired, mate. She has hammered me with what a sad old man has been I am. I’m so very sad.”
These messages were sent about a month after their wedding.
More texts were revealed to his doctor a few months later on July 1, 2015
“I am and have been at peace for the last three to four months. It’s been amazing. But she’s somehow locked into this very unpleasant and belittling mode in the last three days,” Johnny wrote (via Radar).
