The 50-year-old Tesla founder, and new owner of Twitter, was listed as potential witness during the pre-trial, as he and the 36-year-old Aquaman actress dated shortly after she divorced the 58-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
On Wednesday (April 27), Elon‘s lawyer Alex Spiro told NBC that Elon “will not be testifying” in the defamation trial.
If you didn’t know, Amber and Elon met in 2013 on set of the movie Machete Kills, where he was insistent on having dinner with Amber, even though she was dating Johnny at the time. Amber and Johnny went on to get married in 2015.
After Amber and Johnny split in 2016, she started dating Elon.
Elon‘s name was first brought up in Johnny‘s U.K. libel case against the tabloids for calling him a “wife beater.” During the trial, Johnny accused Amber having an affair with Elon while they were still married.
A rep for Elon denied Johnny‘s allegations, telling E! News, “Elon and Amber didn’t start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent. Their relationship didn’t become romantic until some time later.”
Amber and Elon dated from 2016 until the summer of 2017.
