Johnny Depp's libel case against UK tabloid stalled by virus

Although Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reached a divorce settlement 2016, after about 15 months of marriage, their split led to a very ugly legal fight. The 56-year-old actor filed a USD 50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019 after the actress accused him of domestic abuse in 2018.

Parts of Amber Heard’s evidence in the postponed trial of Johnny Depp’s libel claim against The Sun newspaper will be heard in private following a High Court ruling.

Back when they were together, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard looked like a perfect couple who were meant to be together. Of course, this was before the two decided to call it quits and their legal batter got uglier with time.

Amber Heard had filed a motion to have her ex-husband Johnny Depp‘s $50 million defamation lawsuit against her dismissed, but the judge has decided the case will continue.
