Joe Keery has mixed feelings about Stranger Things coming to an end.
In a new interview with Women’s Wear Daily published on Saturday (August 26), the 31-year-old actor opened up about what it was like to know that the Netflix show’s forthcoming fifth season is set to be its last.

“It does feel like it’s time,” Joe acknowledged, adding, “it won’t be easy for it to end.”
“I owe my whole career to being on that show, and all the opportunities that I had since are because of that show,” he said. “So it’s very convoluted. There’s a sense of relief, there’s a sense of sadness.”
Joe noted that his priority is making sure that he stays present as the show comes to an end.
“I guess my goal is to just really soak it up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take any of it for granted because it’s been an amazing ride with such great people. And then once it’s done, move forward and try to just hold on to the joy that we had when we were making it….Everything has a beginning and the middle and an end. It’ll be nice to have the end of this too,” he shared.
Filming for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is currently on pause due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. It was recently revealed how much the cast would make once filming resumes, with many of the stars set to receive sizable pay bumps.
