Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are willing to open their wallets in order to aid many of Jimmy Kimmel‘s staff at Jimmy Kimmel Live.
During the debut episode of Strike Force Five, the late night host revealed that his “rival” Matt, as well as Ben, had offered to pay a week of the staff’s salaries.
But he turned them down.

While speaking to his fellow late night hosts – Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, John Oliver and Stephen Colbert – Jimmy shared that the two Oscar winners and lifelong best friends extended the offer to him.
They would have each paid one week of the staff’s salaries, if Jimmy had accepted it.
“I felt that that was not their responsibility,” he explained of turning it down.
In addition to Matt and Ben‘s offer, Jimmy revealed that Ryan Reynolds also offered free Mint Mobile service for a year for the out-of-work show staff.
