A Jewish uni student has claimed daily life on her Scots campus involves relentless anti-Semitism and harassment. The account was supplied to Jewish community leaders monitoring racism, particularly since the war in Gaza erupted after October 7.
The account was one of three supplied and coincided with a Community Security Trust report, which showed anti-Semitic incidents in Scotland doubled last year.
The woman, too terrified to put her name to any official complaint to her university or to the police, claimed she has been called a “murderer” and told she has Palestinian blood on her hands.
And Jewish community leaders say colleges and universities have become hotbeds of anti-Semitism since Israel began bombing of Gaza.
Ephraim Borowski, director of the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities, said the mum-of-two had left Poland and come to Scotland because of anti-Semitism and thought she would be safe – but says that she’s now “so very scared”.

He said: “All three have suffered continual abuse since the pogrom from students and lecturers. They have been asked if they killed any Palestinians today.”
The leader of Scotland’s biggest Jewish community has echoed the claims.
Rabbi Moshe Rubin, of the Giffnock Synagogue in Glasgow, said: “Between the anti-Semitism on the streets, especially on university campuses, and the verbal anti-Semitism everywhere... it has caused a fear in Jewish community in Scotland.”
A Scottish Government spokesman said: “Any form of anti-Semitism is abhorrent.”
