Wizards of Waverly Place star Jennifer Stone opened up about a “date” that she went on with Austin Butler when he made a cameo on the Disney Channel series.
If you forgot, the 31-year-old Elvis actor played Selena Gomez‘s crush on the show in 2010.
Jennifer, 30, revealed that she was crushing on him hard at the time and revealed that she asked him out during an episode of her Wizards of Wavery Pod podcast.

Answering a question from a fan, Jennifer admitted to having a crush on “every one of Selena‘s love interests” on the show. That included Austin, who she described as “a sweetheart.”
“He was a big movie buff, which was something that we really loved,” she said. That led into their “date.”
“I was like we should go get a movie, whatever. And this was… I think Blockbuster still existed. No maybe it was Netflix when they still sent out DVDs. We’re not that old. But he like came over to the house, and we went somewhere to get snacks and stuff,” she recalled.
They watched Swimming with Sharks.
Jennifer said that it was “kind of” a “Netflix and Chill” style get-together. “But it was not that for him at all,’ she added.
She also got candid about how her crushes at the time often left her feeling bad about herself.
“I would always have crushes on all of Selena‘s boyfriends [on the show] because ever since I was like a wee little child I’ve liked the mens,” she said. “But a lot times what would happen is the guy would talk to me, and we’d have a great time. I’d feel like ‘Oh this it going well.’ And then at the end of the week they would pass me their number to give to Selena.”
