Jennifer Aniston "kept herself to herself" as she attended the funeral of her beloved Friends co-star Matthew Perry, after "dreading" the day for more than two decades.
The 54-year-old actor, best loved for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on sitcom Friends, was found dead in his Los Angeles home last weekend after he reportedly drowned in his hot tub, with his cause of death still unknown, reports The Mirror.
Matthew's Friends co-stars joined his parents at the emotional funeral. Jennifer was seen with Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt Le Blanc. The group of pals even hugged as they consoled one another.
According to the Daily Mail, Rachel Green actress Jennifer Aniston was "one of the first to arrive" at the ceremony on Friday at Forest Lawn cemetery. An onlooker told the paper that "she kept herself to herself" at the high-profile gathering.
Jennifer supported her co-star through his addiction struggles, with the late actor even paying tribute to her in an interview last year ahead of the release of his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing coming out.
In a clip from an interview with Diane Sawyer, Matthew touched on how his Friends co-stars supported him: "Jennifer, she says, 'We know you're drinking'," Diane said to the actor. Responding to Diane, Matthew replied: "Yeah, imagine how scary a moment that was."
He then went on to reveal: "She was the one that reached out the most. You know, I'm really grateful to her for that."
