“Outer Range” might be a little hard to describe, but no, worry not, this is not “Cowboys & Aliens.” Well, it could be, but don’t worry, this will not be a big, silly mix-and-match genre blockbuster. Created by Brian Watkins for Amazon Prime, instead, the series is a mystery thriller drama about a rancher who uncovers a strange phenomenon in the wilderness of Wyoming.

Jason Momoa is one of the more in-demand actors in Hollywood that have been able to juggle television series and film. With his Apple TV+ show “See,” appearing in multiple Netflix films like the upcoming fantasy film “Slumberland” from director Francis Lawrence, the supporting role in Denis Villeneuve‘s Oscar-winning epic “Dune,” and finishing up James Wan‘s “Aquaman” sequel in the United Kingdom, Momoa has been working non-stop for the last two years.

Deadline today confirmed with Oscar telecast producer Will Packer that Josh Brolin and Jason Momoa will present the eight awards that will be, for the first time, handed out before this year’s live telecast instead of during the telecast. The duo had been reported to be in talks to present the segment, but Packer confirmed the final agreement to us at the Governor’s Awards today.
