Comedian Jason Manford has revealed he was was rejected for a job at Tesco.
The funny man told fans on social media that he applied to be a driver for the retail giant at the start of the coronavirus outbreak.
Jason claimed he had been made “recently unemployed” after his musical Curtains was cancelled due to the health crisis, and he “wanted to feel safe”.
He joked with his 328,000 Twitter followers that he was "absolutely livid" about the rejection, adding: "I was only trying to do my bit.
