Jason Manford had a bizzarre few days last week.
The Salford comic revealed on Twitter that he had been rejected for a job at Tesco in Alderley Edge having applied to 'do his bit' during the coronavirus pandemic.
Once he made his knock back public, joking he was 'livid', Tesco responded - saying that they'd love to have offered him a role, but he'd missed an application deadline.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, Jason said he 'applied for a few things', just to see if he could help.
