Janey Godley has revealed that she has sorted out her will and has started having a clear out at home so that 'when she dies her family won’t have to go through so much stuff'.
The Scots comedian was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021 before being given the all-clear after treatment. It returned this year and she is now currently awaiting her latest scan results after her blood results came back with her marker 'slightly higher'.
Janey took to X, formerly Twitter, to say she is being proactive for when the time comes and getting things in order.
She penned: "As someone who is living with a life limiting disease, I have started to clear out my clutter so that when I die my family won’t have to go through so much stuff. I have emptied out my wardrobe to charity shop and paper work is all labelled. Lawyers and the will sorted.
"It’s helpful to do just now, not at all creepy. I’ve brought new bedroom furniture so husband will have new memories in our room when I go - I’m getting all the old paperwork thrown out, so they don’t have to figure out what it all means.
"My pal Shirley is going through all my old junk under my bed and getting it all cleared out - we have filled bags for the charity shop @shelterscotland."
