Janet Weiss and Sam Coomes are both self-isolating due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn’t meant they aren’t working on new music for their band Quasi. They’ve started a new video series called “Quarantine Demos” where they share songs they recorded while recording in their respective basements. Watch the first installment, a new song called “Wrotten Rock,” below. “We can get through this crazy mess together,” Weiss wrote.

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) is a new organization launched by several independent music venues and promoters, along with Independent Venue Week, following the widespread cancellations of shows in the wake of COVID-19. Frank Ocean has released two new(ish) singles. "Cayendo" and "Dear April" both premiered at his first PrEP+ party in New York last October, and both slowly made their way to fans who ordered them on 7" vinyl last week, but the acoustic versions of both are now on streaming services. They mark Ocean's first streaming release since last year's "In My Room."
Frank Ocean has never marched to the beat of anyone else's drum, so it's no surprise that the singer who delights in keeping fans off balance with unexpected releases has done it again. After debuting two new tracks on the first night of his PrEP+ club night in New York in October, Ocean finally began shipping remixes of the two new songs, "Dear April" and "Cayendo," last week.
Back in October, Frank Ocean previewed a pair of new songs during his first-ever PrEP+ club night in New York City. “Dear April” and “Cayendo” received remixes from Justice and Sango respectively, and listings for 7" vinyl editions of the new music was subsequently made available to pre-order on Frank’s webstore. Now, months later, those physical copies have finally shipped to fans.
