Jan Leeming left with six-inch wound after being mugged at cash machine

Veteran presenter and news reader Jan Leeming was left with a six-inch wound after falling victim to a horrific mugging for the second time in her life.
The 80-year-old, was 'rugby tackled' to the ground by the masked perpetrator while in a "sleepy little village" in France. She claims it was a "well organised and orchestrated attack" with the culprits even using a getaway car.
At the time, Jan was using a cash machine when a man offered to shake her hand, however, he quickly threw her to the floor. Fortunately, the attacker left the scene without any of Jan's money or personal belongings, Wales Online reports.

The former BBC star says the "horrid experience" brought back memories of the time when she was attacked in 1987 by a teenager who stole her handbag. Posting on Twitter, she said: "Horrid experience. Attacked close to ATM friends were using.
''Youngish man seemed pleasant held out hand - like a first rate idiot being courteous I took it. 'Rugby tackled to ground. Bag was over my arm - he didn’t get it. Got six inch gash on arm back of hand black and blue.
