He might be best known for his skills on the rugby pitch or on the DJ decks, but James Haskell can also turn his hand to reality TV. But there's one series he'd never sign up for - and that's Strictly Come Dancing. "I don’t think anyone wants me to be dancing," James exclusively tells OK!.
"And, truthfully, I don’t think my body can take it. I’ve been asked a couple of times to do it and I’ve said no." James, 38, has been vocal about his sporting injuries over the years, including undergoing surgery for an ankle injury.
The dad-of-one explained why his injuries would prevent him from taking the dancefloor: "I retired rugby because I had an issue with my left toe. I’ve also got arthritis in my right ankle, and I can’t run.
I’m in pain a lot of the time. I can still train, but I just can’t physically run because I’m in agony." Although James, who is married to Chloe Madeley, admitted to "considering going on SAS: Who Dares Wins", nothing will ever top his I'm A Celeb stint, it seems. "I loved the show," the star said.
"I still speak to Ian Wright, Roman Kemp, Nadine Coyle. I’ve also kept in touch with Kate Garraway whenever I’ve appeared on Good Morning Britain." And TV is certainly something that's on James' mind recently as he and wife Chloe been giving fans a look into their daily lives in their northwest London home, on their reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair.
The series documents the ups and downs of the couple's first months as new parents, as well as Chloe’s famous parents Richard and Judy's role as doting grandparents. On the show, the former rugby union player opened up about how having baby daughter Bodhi a year ago has ‘changed him as a man,’ admitting that he previously tried not to show his emotions.
