James Corden to pay salaries of furloughed ‘Late Late Show’ staffers

This week is the penultimate Late Late Show of the season and Ryan has an interesting line-up joining him both remotely and in studio.

Ireland’s James Bond, star of The Thomas Crown Affair, Mrs Doubtfire, Mamma Mia! and Remington Steele, Pierce Brosnan will be speaking to Ryan from Hawaii as part of tomorrow night's Late Late line-up.

The Late Late Show was bemoaned for seemingly ignoring the existence of female musicians week in week out over the last few weeks but that is being made up for in spade this Friday. 

While their wedding was unfortunately postponed, this future husband and wife got some unforgettable surprises to tide them over until their special day.  On The Late Late Show Tuesday night, host James Corden had something special up his sleeve—for one of his own colleagues. As he explained, the show's script coordinator, Joe, was supposed to have gotten married this past weekend.

The Late Late Show has been lifting people’s spirits all around the country every week. 

Everyone at “The Late Late Show” is getting paid thanks to James Corden.

Starting next week, James Corden will pay the salaries of about 60 furloughed production staffers on The Late Late Show out of his own pocket, likely to be mid-five figures weekly.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is set to give an update on the lockdown restrictions on Friday night when he joins Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show.
