It's been some week for Rylan Clark in the This Morning studio. The presenter is co-hosting with Ruth Langsford as regular show stars Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield enjoy their annual summer break.
On Monday, as he kick-started his return to the ITV sofa after being away from his old colleagues for the past few years, he was the victim of a cruel prank involving a snake, which is one of his biggest fears, and he ended up 'walking off' the set.
And today (Thursday) he was forced to revisit the harrowing moment when regular contributor Gyles Brandreth turned up for a segment wearing a jumper which was adorned by a giant green snake.
Rylan had been recalling a harrowing memory on Monday that had taken place on August 14, when a snake slithered into his house.
He admitted he was not a fan of the creatures, which then gave Ruth an idea to have a joke at the Eurovision presenter's expense.
After launching a pet snake at the star, Ruth was left in tears and Rylan was so upset he stormed off - but, of course, it was all in a light-hearted manner for the two co-hosts, who have been having a ball together presenting all week.
And today, the former X Factor star was confronted with his fear again - though this time round he didn't let out any huge screams, like he did on Monday.
As Gyles sat down for This Morning's View segment, he was wearing one of his typically colourful and quirky jumpers he's known for, but today it was featuring a green and yellow snake.
Gyles told Rylan he'd worn it "specially" for him and he didn't want him to be apprehensive as he was hoping to help him get over his fear.
Gyles joked: "I wore it specially for you, a kind of aversion therapy."
