ITV's This Morning had a bit of a bumpy start on Wednesday when presenter Ben Shephard teased Cat Deeley live on air, accusing her of dressing like a dancer from Eurovision. Prior to the exchange, Lorraine Kelly had conducted an interview with Eurovision Song Contest UK entry Olly Alexander.
Following the chat, the broadcast switched over to This Morning for a preview of what lay ahead. Ben joked: "You had lovely Olly Alexander on earlier, we're talking more about Eurovision.
Cat's actually come as one of his dancers!" His comment left Cat in fits of giggles and banging her hands on the desk. Standing to show off her get-up - a shimmering vintage burgundy shirt coupled with a brown leather skirt - Cat retaliated: "I have not! I'm in a vintage shirt today, Lorraine, because we've got the guy from the Sewing Bee on! And I've got a leather skirt on." Emphasising this point at Ben, she continued: "It's not the same!" Playing along, Ben countered: "I thought it was, she could have been one of his dancers." In response, Cat pulled a highly expressive amused face, reports the Mirror.
Not long before this exchange, Eurovision Song Contest UK entry Olly addressed disapproval of his performance in Sweden the previous night. During Wednesday morning's episode of Lorraine, Olly confronted the objections from fans.
He expressed that his time in the Eurovision Song Contest so far had been absolutely "wild", while the host labelled his act as "naughty".
