This Morning viewers have been left divided after the show helped one man facilitate a romantic act live on the programme. Josie Gibson and Dermot O'Leary were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (February 14) with some segments to try get viewers in the Valentine's Day mood.
As they kicked off the show, the hosting duo, who are filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, revealed that a man called Dan would be proposing to his girlfriend live on air. They then switched from the studio to show the couple in a restaurant that had been fitted out with hidden cameras in order to capture the special moment.
Dan and his partner, Ellen, were enjoying a breakfast date with the latter completely unaware that she was being streamed live on ITV and what was about to happen next.

Returning to the couple later a short time into the latest edition of the programme, viewers watched as the staff working in the restaurant burst into song and dance, with a waiter performing his rendition of Bruno Mars loved-up track, Marry You.
As the dancers revealed their tops which laid out "Will you marry me?", Dan said: "Since the day I met you, Ellen, you have made me so happy. Every day, you're perfect. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you, which is why I want to ask you to marry me."
Dan then got down on one knee and popped the question, prompting Ellen to excitedly accept his proposal before bursting into tears. Dermot and Josie were quick to congratulate the pair, with Josie getting emotional herself.
"That was beautiful!" to which Dermot added: "Oh we are welling up over here! Ellen and Dan!
