Brenda Edwards has revealed she was told not to touch fellow co-star Janet Street-Porter when she first joined Loose Women. Brenda, who became a fan favourite after joining the panel in 2019, admitted to being starstruck when meeting will.i.am and Janet Street-Porter. "That was absolutely amazing." she said about her encounter with will.i.am.
She also expressed her admiration for Janet, saying: "I used to watch Loose Women before I became one, and I still do. I come from a family of strong women, including my grandma and my aunts, so Janet is a big icon in our household." Despite being warned not to touch Janet, Brenda was pleasantly surprised when Janet gave her a hug. In an interview with Woman's Own, Brenda dismissed rumours about quitting the show, stating that she 'won't be going anywhere'.
Besides being a panellist, Brenda is also a fashion designer, actress, singer, former accounts manager, and a director of a new theatre production. She revealed her joy of directing the musical about a TV dance drama set in 1960s Baltimore, where racism abounds. She explained at that moment: "The story, unfortunately, is so poignant to today," adding "We all do our other occupations so Loose Women isn't going anywhere.
