Fans of I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! may think that the living conditions seem brutal however, the camp may not actually be as gruelling as it appears on our screens.
Many celebs are seen to be struggling with their new surroundings from the creepy crawlies to rations of rice and beans.
Jamie Lynn Spears has been visibly upset as she misses home and other celebrities have been complaining about their lack of home comforts. They have been sleeping outside in the jungle and were even visited by a rat in the night, who tucked into their leftovers, writes The Mirror.
However, fans may be surprised to know that there are a few ways the crew help keep the celebrities safe and warm. In order to protect filming equipment, there is a roof that protects the cameras from the elements. The secret manmade roof is also used for the crew to lower down the food into the camp.
And according to reports, apparently the jungle isn't really a jungle either. The show is filmed in Springbrook National Park, which is defined by Tweed Shire Council as a "lowland subtropical rainforest", rather than a jungle. The roof doesn't actually cover the celebrity's beds, but a retractable canvas canopy covers the fire to keep them warm.
A source admitted to MailOnline: "A lot of the camp is not under shelter — it’s not like the roof at Wimbledon!"
Fans thought they sussed the 'fake camp' when they noticed the fire remains burning no matter the weather. One fan said: "Funny that when it’s pouring down with rain the fire's still going and their hair's never wet #ImACeleb."
Another viewer added: "The fact all the celebrities are completely dry when it's supposedly 'torrential rain' just shows how much of a set-up it all is." Many of the rocks around
