After a nail biting 18 days in the jungle, Fred Sirieix has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, after failing to secure enough public votes to continue in the competition. Show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed the news live on air on Tuesday 5 December, when they arrived in camp to share the results of the public vote with the celebrities before revealing which star would sadly be going home.
After a tense few minutes, it was soon revealed that Fred and Danielle Harold had received the lowest number of votes from the public, with Fred then confirmed to be the latest star to be waving goodbye to their dreams of taking home the jungle crown. The latest elimination comes hot on the heels of the departures of both Frankie Dettori and Nella Rose, who were the first and second stars to be eliminated from the show earlier this week.
Prior to the highly anticipated exit announcement, viewers at home had already been treated to another exciting episode of the hit reality show, which saw JLS star Marvin Humes and pro chef Fred Sirieix take on a hilariously difficult bush tucker trial called Fly on the Wall. During the task, both Fred and Marvin were dressed as flies as they were tasked with moving along a narrow platform and wall suspended high in the air to gather stars for the camp, however in a brutal twist, the platform was covered in slippery slime.
With every step each contestant took, they were tasked with trying to balance the tipping platform, but with nothing for their shoes to grip to, it was only a matter of time before one of them fell into the water below.
