Emmerdale fans were quick to praise an emotional scene which took place during Wednesday evening’s visit to the dales, as Chastity Dingle bravely plucked up the courage to view her mastectomy scars for the first time. As regular viewers will know, earlier this year Chas was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer and opted to have both of her breasts removed in a radical mastectomy procedure to avoid succumbing to the disease like her mother Faith.
Following the successful operation, Chas had been slowly returning to normality and even felt comfortable enough to try wearing her prosthetics for a shift in the pub. However this prompted an ill-advised comment from Kerry Wyatt which remarked on their size.

After telling Charity how she was afraid to look, Charity wasted no time in offering her support to Chas as she promised to be there while she viewed them for the first time. In one particular light-hearted moment, she even volunteered to show off her own breasts, but her cousin declined the offer as the two shared a poignant but raw moment together.
In scenes described by one fan as ‘powerful’ Chas slowly stripped off her clothes to take a look at her scars in the mirror, with Charity at her side to provide words of encouragement and support no matter what Chas was feeling. Fans at
