Coronation Street fans took to Twitter to mock the soap's new killer Stephen Reid after a scuffle with Leo Thompkins came to a deadly end. Fans had seen Leo grow suspicious of Stephen after initially looking to him for advice about moving to Canada.
The drama reached boiling point after Leo discovered that the swarmy businessman had shared a kiss with his fiancee Jenny Connor while they were on a break. Leo ended up punching Stephen and, on a mission to prove that he's a liar, he contronted him about his plan to get his hands on the equity from his mum Audrey’s house.
As he followed Leo onto the Underworld factory gantry, Leo taunted him, threatening to call Audrey. Seeing red, Stephen lunged at Leo, sending him plunging over the railings.

As Leo landed with a thud on a commercial bin below, Stephen hurried down the ladder to check if he was okay but realised he was dead. Then there was panic as it was thought the bin would be collected.
When it transpired that Leo was still encased in his unsavory resting place, because the bins weren't emptied, Stephen returned to the scene of the crime, heaved the bin to a van and hauled Leo inside to be transported elsewhere.
Fans found the scenes hilarious after last month Stephen previously had a showdown with a bin. After pestering his mum to sign forms for trust funds for her children and grandchildren after she made the decision to put Stephen in charge, Audrey told Gail, Sarah, David, and Stephen that she'd be drawing up a will for them to share out her inheritance.
