Coronation Street viewers were stunned when Abi Franklin went into labour and during the latest trip to Weatherfield as they watched her give birth at six months pregnant.
During Sunday night's episode, Abi was left at the side of a country road by her drug dealer mate Dean after the pair went on a cocaine and alcohol bender.
But mechanic Abi was doubled over in pain and was trying to relieve some of her agony by crouching at the side of the road while begging Dean to take her to the hospital after he stole a customer's car from her husband Kevin Webster's garage.

Dean, however, zoomed off in his car leaving Abi trying to wave down passers-by in a bid for help when her waters broke and she faced giving birth to her fourth child in the road.
Abi eventually made it to the hospital where she had to admit to a nurse what substances she had taken before being asked how far along in the pregnancy she is.
The terrified mum-to-be admitted she didn't know she was pregnant and that the last time she had sex was six months ago but has still been having a period.
Despite not having a clue about the baby, Abi, who gave the hospital a false name, gave birth to a little boy who was rushed off into intensive care after needing help to breathe when he was first delivered.
After getting Abi settled, the nurse said she'd be back to have a good chat with her and the doctor but when they returned and pulled the curtain, Abi was gone and the hospital were gearing up to put out an appeal for her whereabouts.
Despite the emotional and distressing scenes, Corrie fans were too distracted by the way Abi gave birth.
