A man had part of his ear bitten off during a 'savage' fight outside a pub.
Lewis Heywood, 20, left the man needing plastic surgery following the fracas outside the Samuel Brooks pub in Sale.
Heywood was also bit and injured during the brawl, which started as a 'play fight' but quickly escalated.
The other man hit Heywood with a 'milk churn', and the defendant threw an ashtray.
