Met Eireann's Status Yellow ice and snow warning remains in place this morning with conditions set to turn sub-zero later this evening. T he alert, which covers the whole of the country, began at 9am on Sunday and will stay in place until 10am on Monday.

Met Eireann have extended the nationwide Status Yellow snow-ice warning for another day. T he alert was due to expire at 11am today has now been extended until 10am on Monday morning.
A national snow-ice warning remains in place today for the entire country as Met Eireann warned of "wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow". Wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow with localised accumulations, especially on high ground, and icy stretches on roads and footpaths are forecast.
