After the absolutely wild Tiger King documentary dropped on Netflix, it was the only thing anyone could talk about.
So understandably it makes sense that Hollywood would want to cash in on the hype. It has been rumoured that a film is in the works.
And it looks like an Irish actor is tipped to take on the coveted role of the one and only Joe Exotic.

With rumours circulating that Nicolas Cage is set to star as Joe Exotic in a new eight part scripted series on the Tiger King, there is one Scottish contender who thinks he would be perfect for the role.
Variety is reporting that Nicolas Cage is attached to play the role of Joe Exotic in a scripted series which will run for eight episodes produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. The trade says that the series, which is set to be Cage’s first ever, will be based on the article “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild,” by Leif Reigstad.
