Stranger Things fans finally have something to look forward to as the release date for the long-awaited season four has been confirmed. Season three of the hit sci-fi Netflix series aired back in 2019, and viewers have eagerly waited for three years for more drama, action and terror with Eleven and the gang. And it has now been officially revealed that the fourth instalment will air in two volumes - the first premiering on May 27 and then July 1 this year.

Kristen Stewart, 31, went to great lengths to portray the late Princess Diana in her critically acclaimed film Spencer. The Oscar nominee revealed in Vanity Fair‘s 2022 Hollywood Issue, published on February 17, that she tried purging to prepare for a scene involving Diana’s difficult battle with bulimia. “I wanted to make sure that was not glossed over,” Kristen told the outlet.

Christopher Vourlias A quirky, colorful murder mystery set in the South African outback will be served up in “Recipes for Love and Murder,” which premieres its first two episodes Feb. 15 as part of the Berlinale Series Market Selects lineup at the European Film Market.Based on the best-selling novels by Sally Andrew, the series follows recipe advice columnist Tannie Maria and her colleague, rookie journalist Jessie September, who spring into action when a woman who was seeking advice about an abusive husband is found dead.Between cooking rich mutton curry and decadent chocolate cake, answering letters, and getting in the way of the local policemen, Maria and Jessie are determined to solve this murder mystery and catch the killer.

Tim Dams Since its launch in 2015, the Berlinale Series section has emerged as a kind of a boutique scripted TV fest set within a major film festival.The Berlinale was famously the first A-list festival to embrace changing viewer habits and to officially incorporate television drama into its lineup — and this head-start is reflected in the growing stature of Berlinale Series.Taking place over a concentrated three-day period (Feb. 14-16), Berlinale Series offers up seven world and international premieres from around 200 entries, giving each of them the red-carpet treatment at the Zoo Palast cinema.Running parallel, the Berlinale Series Market — part of the European Film Market — offers up an online conference program, showcases and screenings.

The 94th Oscar nominations were full of surprises in both satisfying and disappointing ways, but when there are only five nominees in most categories, it's almost guaranteed that a few favorites will miss the cut.Here, the AP takes a look at some of the biggest shocks and upsets.DENIS MISSES IN DIRECTORThere is a general rule in Oscar snubs that you can’t just declare something a snub. Kristen Stewart, who reached global fame with the $3.35 billion grossing franchise Twilight, has landed her first Best Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal as Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain’s Spencer. 

Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi epic Dune leads the 2022 British Academy Film Awards nominations with 11. The movie adaptation of Frank Herbert's epic, starring Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac, topped the nominations when they were announced in London on Thursday.

While this year’s BAFTA nominations offer up a more balanced split between streamers and traditional distributors and studios than in recent years, Netflix still remains the dominant streamer in the 2021 race.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife scores a third week as the UK’s Number 1 film.

BAFTA EE Rising Star Award.The award is now in its seventeenth year.The nominees were announced by 2021 Rising Star winner Bukky Bakray (“You Don’t Know Me”) and presenter Edith Bowman on Tuesday.The five actors have been selected for demonstrating “exceptional talent in film over the past year.” Previous winners of the award have included James McAvoy, Eva Green, Tom Hardy, Kristen Stewart, Tom Holland, Letitia Wright and Micheal Ward.BAFTA’s Rising Star award is the only one of the EE British Academy Film Awards that is decided by the public. Voting will open at 11AM on Feb.
