Over the years George Clarke has become known for his passion for architecture and ability to breathe new life into the dullest of spaces. Speaking to OK! about his recent milestone birthday, George revealed that he spent the day with his opera singer and pianist partner as well as his children. “I had a very quiet birthday, intentionally quiet. I literally spent my birthday day with my kids, my partner and her kids, my mum, a couple of my best friends and their wives,” he said.
“There were 12 of us. It was a good lunch and that’s all I did. Everybody expected me to do a big massive party but you know what, I couldn't be bothered.” In the past, George has opened up about his love life and once revealed in an interview with the Big Issue that he wasn’t “the best person to talk to” when it came to love.
“On relationships, I'm probably not the best person to talk to because I've been divorced twice. So it's not easy,” he said. Prior to his relationship with Florence, George married animator and art director Catriona Drummond in 2009 and the pair share three children together - Georgie, 19, Emilio, 17, and Iona, 15.
Sadly Catriona’s brother Swiggy died from brain cancer at the age of 39.
