Idris Elba takes the catwalk as Ozwald Boateng closes London Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week has officially come to an end. The Chanel show wrapped up the week that has fashionistas and trendsetters hooked. Celebrities love to attend the runway shows, and Mick Jagger’s daughter Georgia May was front row of Chanel’s catwalk in an amazing all-black outfit.The 30-year-old proved you can never have too much lace in a sheer turtleneck, which she tucked into a leather mini skirt with lace tights.

EXCLUSIVE: Jonathan Glickman has launched Panoramic Media, a multi-platform content venture. The former MGM Motion Picture Group President launches with investment from Gary Barber, Spyglass Media Group, Eagle Pictures, Lantern Entertainment, Pinky Promise and United Talent Agency.  Glickman wasn’t putting a number on the investment, but it is significant for the startup, which will be platform agnostic with the financial resources to develop projects across all platforms.

And so it begins! Paris Fashion Week has officially arrived — and it’s starting off with a star-studded show. Everyone from Rihanna to Idris Elba came out to sit front row for the Off-White show, which marks the fashion house’s first presentation since founder Virgil Abloh’s death. Abloh passed away in November 2021 at age 41 following his private battle with cancer. 

Shifting priorities. While Idris Elba is known for his successful film career, he’s equally passionate about his musical ambitions, even performing anticipated DJ sets at the likes of Coachella and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. Now, he’s planning to “lean away from acting work” to prioritize his musical pursuits.

London Fashion Week never fails to deliver the team at Hello! Fashion have been people watching. After two years of covid-induced uncertainty in the fashion world this year has finally brought the glitterati back to London in a way we haven’t seen since pre-2019. Ozwald Boateng's show attracted a galaxy of stars including Naomi Harris, Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba, and elsewhere we spotted industry icons like Victoria Beckham who made an appearance at the Supriya Lele show flanked by Mia Regan (the young model who is currently dating Romeo Beckham and clearly has earned Victoria's seal of approval) and Jourdan Dunn on either side.

Idris Elba has said that he is planning on “leaning away from the acting work” to focus more on his music in the coming years.The Luther and The Wire actor founded the record label 7Wallace in 2015, while he regularly performs DJ sets (including a slot at Coachella in 2019) and has released a host of solo and collaborative records in recent years.Speaking in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Elba said that he hopes people will embrace his music as much as his acting work.“Some may think, ‘Well, it will be the death of your acting if your music’s shit’,” he said. “I’ve dealt with the internal struggle of that over the years.

BBC Studios has appointed Lorraine Burgess, the former MD of Idris Elba’s Green Door Pictures, as Chief Financial Officer.

New York Fashion Week may have wrapped, but that doesn’t mean the stellar street style is stopping any time soon. London Fashion Week is officially in high gear — and the stars are serving up chic ensembles, edgy attire and fashion-forward looks on repeat.

Additionally, Sega and Paramount+ are developing the first-ever original live-action Sonic series, to launch in 2023, which will feature the character Knuckles, with Idris Elba returning to voice the role. The character is set to make its debut in the upcoming sequel that bows on April 8.
