IDLES announce Glastonbury warm-up and only UK headline show of 2022

Alexisonfire have announced details of a UK and European headline tour for later this year – get tickets here.The Canadian post-hardcore band are set to release their first new album in 13 years next month after headline appearances at Slam Dunk Festival this weekend (June 3 and 4).Today though (May 30) the band have announced a string of headline shows for later in the year. Kicking off in Cardiff on October 14, the run will see the band visit the likes of Manchester, Leeds and Brighton before taking to London’s Brixton Academy.

Dame Deborah James has made a rare outing as she visited the Chelsea Flower Show to see the rose named after her.The 40 year old, who has been courageously battling bowel cancer for five years, shared earlier this month that her body is "just not playing ball" in a heartbreaking farewell post. She's been staying with her parents at their home in Woking, Surrey, where she's been receiving end-of-life care – resting and sleeping a great deal amid her cancer. But on Tuesday 24 May, Deborah decided to venture out to the Chelsea Flower Show in a bid to see in person the rose that was named after her – which is already breaking sales records.

Chris Brown has joined the line-up for this year’s Wireless Festival.After returning to action in 2021, Wireless 2022 will take place across three sites – two in London, one in Birmingham – in July.Brown will be performing at the Crystal Palace and Birmingham legs of the event on July 1 and July 8 respectively. He will not be appearing at the Finsbury Park leg of Wireless.The shows will be Brown’s first live concerts in the UK for 12 years.

Deaf Havana have announced a UK headline tour supporting their upcoming sixth studio album ‘The Present Is A Foreign Land’ this November.The band kick off the tour at Cardiff’s Tramshed on November 8, and will play dates in Nottingham, Manchester and at London’s Roundhouse before wrapping up the tour in Glasgow on November 14.Fans who purchase a copy of ‘The Present Is A Foreign Land’ via Deaf Havana’s webstore when the album comes out on July 15 and fans who pre-ordered the album will be eligible to purchase tickets for the tour on May 26 – 24 hours before general tickets go on sale. Eurovision entry Sam Ryder has announced details of a new 2022 London show.Ryder came second during the weekend’s Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, with Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra winning the event with a massive 631 points. The Charlatans have announced they will embark on a run of Australian and New Zealand shows later this year to mark their 32nd anniversary.They’ll be making the trip down this October for six shows, kicking off with one show in Auckland, New Zealand, on Thursday 6. They’ll then head to Australia, playing Sydney on Saturday 8, continuing through Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne before wrapping up in Perth on Saturday 15.The band will play a number of songs from across their career, with ‘The Only One I Know’, ‘Jesus Hairdo’, ‘Can’t Get Out Of Bed’, ‘One To Another’, ‘Love is The Key’, ‘Blackened Blue Eyes’ and more appearing on their setlist.
