The 38-year-old was about to make his journey back down south. But the next thing he remembers is waking up in Salford Royal Hospital, where he would remain for four days. Dean does not remember any of the incident or his journey to hospital, where he was told he had to be resuscitated to save his life.
Dean suffered extensive injuries, including bleeding on his brain and fractures, but no one has been able to shed any light on what happened to him. He says he has been given limited information by police about the collision, which happened around 6.40pm near to the junction with Lower Mosley Street. All he was told was that he was hit by an electric bike.
