Three 18-year-old women who 'came from nothing' to 'work their way up' were left 'heartbroken, shocked and upset' after finding their home in east Manchester had been burgled two days before Christmas.
The property in Gorton had been broken into when Salome, who works as a supervisor at a café, came back home in the early hours of the morning on Saturday (December 23).
She found a window smashed and said that it seemed that someone had tried to pry open the back door to get inside. There was glass 'everywhere' in the kitchen when she returned home and all of the cupboards were left wide open.

Her £700 electric scooter was taken as well as as a laptop worth £1,000 which she had been using to make plans for a business she wants to set up. She found her housemates' bedrooms had been 'turned upside down' with 'every piece of jewellery' stolen from one.
She called her two housemates, two flight attendants from Darlington, who 'didn't even know how to react'. The three 18-year-old women, who met through the house share website Spareroom, have been living in the unfurnished property since March.
Since the house was broken into, Salome has not felt safe enough to return. "I've come from nothing," she said.
"I've worked my way up. We all have. To support ourselves and try and create a home for each other. Everything I own is in that room."
Salome, who grew up in Ardwick and Salford before moving to Gorton, has been staying with a family member since the incident. She later went back to the property and spoke to a neighbour who told her that a similar incident
