'I used Stacey Solomon's £1.50 IKEA trick to transform my garden'

As we head towards spring, many people will be looking at ways to improve their garden or outdoor space.
Adding a mirror is a simple way to make a garden look bigger and brighter in one easy step.
With an extra dimension it increases a sense of space and reflects light into shadier spots. If you have one lower down it also reflects part of the garden and the colours of surrounding flowers and bushes.
But, like most things these days, they can be costly, especially if you want something big.

That's why I decided to take inspiration from Stacey Solomon's IKEA hack to piece together small mirrors and frames to make one giant one.
It's something the BBC Sort Your Life Out presenter did when she created an indoor mirror a few years back.
The price of the Yllevad frames and Lonsas mirrors have increased since then - they're now £1.50 each rather than a pound - but I used nine instead of 12, meaning the cost was just £27.
Once I'd put the mirrors inside each frame, I stuck them all onto a piece of wood I already had in the garden and added some fake Ivy vines to cover the jagged edges of the wood. This pack of 12 cost £6.99 from Amazon and I had more than enough. The only other cost was the glue to stick the frames down.
It was really easy to put together and has made a big difference to what was a rather dull part of the garden where I'd previously just had a small mirror hanging on the fence.
Stacey's fans were quick to copy her indoor mirror idea when she shared it with her millions of followers.
I'm not sure people will be doing the same with mine, but I like the way it's transformed my space and it might give
